Vincent Vesele Tshabalala
Born in 1942, Vincent was a South African professional golfer who, because of Apartheid, was not able to play in the South African Tour in his prime. Luckily, with assistance from Gary Player he was granted entry to tournaments around the world and in 1976 he won the French Open on the European Tour. He was then selected for South Africa’s World Cup Team but refused to take part. He was known for his unique style of play, playing full shots cross-handed. He also won the Nelson Mandela Invitational in 2004/2005 with Ernie Els and Tim Clark respectively.
