A Davos for Africa by Africans
The African Leadership Network (ALN) was launched in 2010 at a gathering in Addis Ababa of 200 of the most dynamic young leaders from 30 African countries. Founded by Acha Leke and Fred Swanicker, their plan was to create a network of the most influential and dynamic leaders in Africa and to provide platforms for these leaders to engage with each other for their own benefit and for the benefit of Africa. They felt it was time to create an African ‘Davos’ – an invitation-only forum for high-impact leaders in Africa and thus the ALN was born.
