Africa Connected – African Success Stories Powered by the Net

Google, in association with some African partners like the SABC, NEPAD and others have created a platform for African individuals who started ventures using the internet as a resource for expertise and knowledge. In an effort to help boost the social and economic impact being created by Africans who have embraced the web, Google is offering up five prizes of $25,000 each to the most inspiring stories established on the continent where the web has played a pivotal role in achieving success. Filmmaker Amuwa Oluwaseyi Asurf, Animator Mdu Ntuli, and Family Business Owner Chike Maduegbuna are some of the few that have already been featured on the site with video stories.
