The Namib Desert

The Namib in Namibia is the world’s oldest desert, and the only desert in Africa inhabited by elephant, rhino, giraffe and lion. Stretching 1,200 miles in length, the Namib Desert is home to the highest sand dunes in the world some reaching up to 340 metres. It is a truly breathtaking place.
