Africa our Africa is just one of many websites trying to change perceptions about Africa. Find out about other sites telling the great African story here or click on Post Entry to add another.

African world heritage sites

This site details the most comprehensive visuals of Africa’s world heritage sites. There are 30 to 50 photos of each site, each photo telling a story through its landscapes, monuments, art, wildlife or cultural heritage. The images are supplemented with maps, information and personal impressions of the sites. This website opens a window on this world, reaching places that few of us are privileged to see. At the core of each site description is a slideshow of stunning images which ‘tell the story’ of each place. The aim is to raise awareness of this heritage, and gain support for the conservation and development of these very special places.
